Christmas is right around the corner. Today, I heard a song that made me rethink the birth of Jesus story. And maybe I’m the only one that has never looked at it this way. I have always thought that He was born in a manger to be humble. He was meant to be under the radar, so to speak. Even though there was a bright star in the sky saying “Here I am”. But we know that He was born to be a sacrifice for our sins. A lamb without blemish would only be born in a stable. Where else would a lamb meant for sacrifice be laid but in a manger? Mangers in those days were made of brick. They used them for the spotless lambs meant for sacrifice to protect them. Again, I have never looked at this story in this light. It gives it a whole new meaning for me. I know this one is short. I have another thought to share. It will be in a different post.
